Jean has been a Vendor with the Market for several years as the owner of Little Red Barn Produce. The farm was always a dream of her Father's, and her Mother taught her how to preserve the foods they grew. She continues with her 5 children, and grandchilden, as it makes her feel connected to her parents. She bring her many years of experience and love of farming to the board.

Heather started as a Volunteer several years ago and was the Market Manager for a few more. She moved on to pursue other ventures, where she gained much needed experience to return to the Market as the Operations Manager. Her talents will be well utilized on the Board!

Marie founded VDFM 17 years ago and is finally able to take a step back but continues to share her institutional knowledge and Fern Ridge Perspectives with the board. We currently have one open board position! We welcome Fern Ridge community members, market patrons, and market vendors to apply. If you are interested in joining the board, or a committee, and forming the future of the market, please send a resume and cover letter describing your interest in our mission including any experience in local food, food security, rural economic development, or pop up retail management to [email protected].
The Board convenes monthly. Board meetings are held the third Monday of the month at 5:30 pm at the Elmira Grange
